Rose Ross, 92, of Bethlehem died Thursday February 4, 2010 at Holy Family Manor surrounded by her loving family. She was born on April 3, 1917 in Bethlehem daughter of the late Mathias and Rose (Gotzon) Salabsky. She was the wife of Louis G. Ross of Bethlehem. They celebrated 70 years of marriage this past September.

Rose was a life long member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Bethlehem Twp. She was a seamstress at the Nielson Mfg. Co. in Bethlehem for 20 years and after retiring enjoyed her time with her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Rose loved to dance, listen to polka music, enjoy dinner with the MORA Club, and traveling with her husband. They spent their early years of retirement visiting the Holy Land, Hawaii, and many cities of the US , and most frequently , Florida.

Rose will be lovingly remembered by her son, Robert L. Ross and wife Sally of Bethlehem, daughters, Betty J. Klein wife of David of Bethlehem, and Carol A. Oravec wife of Gerald of Punta Gorda, Florida, grandchildren, Greg Oravec, Douglas Oravec, David Ross, Karen Ross and Lauren Haydt Stehly and 8 great grandchildren.

Services will be held 11AM Monday February 8, 2010 at the Connell Funeral Home 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, Pa. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial 12 Noon at Holy Family Manor Chapel 1200 Spring St. Bethlehem, Pa. Calling hours will be held Monday morning from 9-11AM at the funeral home. Burial at Holy Saviour Cemetery.
